Hi, I’m David William Schmidt — photographer, entrepreneur, and interior designer based in Denver and Tucson.

For over two decades, I’ve told stories through imagery by capturing people in their most meaningful spaces. That experience taught me how to see: light, composition, color, and emotion. It also gave me the foundation to do what I’ve always loved, design spaces that feel just as intentional as they look.

Interior design isn’t new for me, it’s always been there. I’ve spent my life rearranging rooms, styling studios, and sourcing vintage finds. It’s how I see the world. My photography career sharpened that instinct. I’ve spent 20 years mastering my eye by composing narratives in a tiny camera frame. Now I design with entire rooms as my frame.

Through David William Interiors, I bring that same thoughtful, story-driven perspective to every project. Whether I’m working on a cozy home, a boutique short-term rental, or a full-scale renovation, my goal is always the same: create spaces with soul—colorful, layered, and deeply lived-in.
